Consultation room at THE CLINICS MISC, Hauz Khas

When it comes to women’s health, the right gynaecologist is someone you can talk to openly, who explains your options clearly and who examines you before recommending any treatment. This guide explains what to look for and how gynaecology care is organised at THE CLINICS in South Delhi.

What to look for in a gynaecologist

  • Registration: check that the doctor is registered with a State Medical Council (in Delhi, the Delhi Medical Council). Our doctors’ registration numbers are shown on their profiles.

  • Clear communication: you should understand your diagnosis, the options (including watchful waiting where suitable) and the risks of each.

  • Examination before advice: most gynaecological problems need an examination, and often a pelvic ultrasound, before a plan is made.

  • Privacy: you can ask for a female doctor or a chaperone.

  • Access to surgery if needed: ask where procedures are done and who operates.

Gynaecology services at THE CLINICS

Gynaecology consultations and pelvic ultrasound are at THE CLINICS Green Park. Laparoscopic gynaecological surgery, such as hysterectomy (TLH), fibroid removal (myomectomy) and ovarian cyst removal, is done at THE CLINICS MISC, Hauz Khas. Fertility consultations and IUI are at THE CLINICS Green Park. See gynaecology at THE CLINICS.

Our gynaecology doctors

  • Dr Niti Vijay: gynaecologist, fertility (IVF) consultant and cosmetic gynaecologist (DMC Reg. No. 6333). THE CLINICS Green Park, Mon–Sat 9 am–7 pm.

  • Dr Yogendra Singh Chandel: obstetrician, laparoscopic surgeon and cosmetic & aesthetic gynaecologist (DMC Reg. No. 124660).

What happens at your first visit

Your doctor will ask about your periods, pregnancies, symptoms and medicines, examine you with your consent, and may advise tests such as a pelvic ultrasound, blood tests or a Pap smear. You will then discuss the options, including non-surgical ones.

When to see a gynaecologist promptly

See a doctor promptly for heavy or prolonged bleeding, bleeding between periods or after menopause, severe pelvic pain, a new lump, or a concern in pregnancy. THE CLINICS has no dedicated emergency department; for urgent concerns, call +91 9217381353, and in an emergency go to the nearest hospital emergency department.
