All fertility treatments — IVF, IUI, ICSI coordinated by our team
Fertility care at THE CLINICS is led by Dr Niti Vijay (DMC Reg. No. 6333), a fertility consultant and gynaecologist with 15+ years of experience. Consultations, fertility ultrasound and IUI (Level 1 ART) take place at THE CLINICS Green Park. For IVF and ICSI, injections, monitoring and scans are also done at THE CLINICS. You visit our partner IVF centre only for egg collection (ovum pickup) and embryo transfer, so one or two visits in a cycle. The embryology lab stages also happen at the partner centre. All fertility care follows the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Act, 2021.
Who this is for
A fertility consultation may help if:
-
you have been trying to conceive for one year without pregnancy, or for six months if the woman is over 35;
-
periods are very irregular, or you have a known diagnosis such as PCOS or endometriosis;
-
there have been repeated miscarriages;
-
a semen test showed a problem;
-
earlier IUI or IVF cycles did not lead to pregnancy;
-
you live abroad and want to plan a cycle around a trip to Delhi (see IVF in Delhi for patients travelling from abroad).
How the evaluation works
Both partners are usually assessed. At the first visit, Dr Niti Vijay takes a full history, reviews earlier reports and explains which tests you need. Common tests include:
-
hormone blood tests for the woman (for example AMH, FSH, LH, thyroid and prolactin);
-
a pelvic ultrasound of the uterus and ovaries, which can be done at Green Park;
-
a check of the fallopian tubes (HSG or, in some cases, laparoscopy);
-
a semen analysis for the male partner.
Male-factor problems can be assessed by urologist Dr Bipul Agarwal (DMC 81020). If a scan shows a fibroid, polyp or ovarian cyst that may affect fertility, treatment may be advised first. See fibroid surgery, ovarian cyst surgery and gynaecology surgery at THE CLINICS.
You then receive a written plan and cost estimate.
IUI, IVF and ICSI: the steps
The right option depends on age, the cause of infertility and your test results. No outcome is promised. More detail is on IUI, ICSI and IVF treatment and in the IVF process, step by step.
IUI (intrauterine insemination), done at Green Park:
-
Ovulation is tracked with ultrasound, with or without medicines.
-
Around ovulation, a washed and prepared sperm sample is placed directly into the uterus through a thin catheter.
-
It takes a few minutes; a pregnancy test follows about two weeks later.
IVF (in vitro fertilisation):
-
Ovarian stimulation: hormone injections help several eggs mature; injections and monitoring scans are done at THE CLINICS.
-
Egg collection (ovum pickup): a short procedure under anaesthesia at our partner IVF centre.
-
Fertilisation and embryo culture: in the embryology lab at the partner centre.
-
Embryo transfer: at the partner centre, fresh or later as a frozen embryo transfer.
ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) is a type of IVF. A single sperm is injected into each egg, often for male-factor problems; the rest of the cycle is the same.
Dr Niti Vijay can also explain fertility preservation options. See egg freezing vs embryo freezing.

Frequently asked questions
Where are IVF and IUI done at THE CLINICS?
Consultations, ultrasound, IUI and IVF injections and monitoring are done at THE CLINICS Green Park. Egg collection, the embryology lab stages and embryo transfer are at our partner IVF centre, which means one or two visits there.
What is the difference between IUI, IVF and ICSI?
In IUI, washed sperm is placed in the uterus around ovulation. In IVF, eggs are fertilised in a laboratory and an embryo is transferred to the uterus. ICSI is a type of IVF in which a single sperm is injected into each egg.
When should we see a fertility doctor?
Consider a consultation after one year of trying without pregnancy, or after six months if the woman is over 35. Come sooner with very irregular periods, endometriosis, PCOS or repeated miscarriages.
Which tests are needed before fertility treatment?
Usually hormone blood tests, a pelvic ultrasound, a fallopian tube check and a semen analysis. Dr Niti Vijay advises which you need after reviewing earlier reports.
How much does the first consultation cost?
The consultation fee at THE CLINICS Green Park is ₹1,500, plus a ₹100 registration charge on the first visit. Treatment costs depend on your plan and are given as a written estimate.
Do you promise a pregnancy or offer sex selection?
No. The chance of pregnancy depends on age, the cause of infertility and other factors; Dr Niti Vijay discusses your own situation. Care follows the ART (Regulation) Act, 2021. Sex selection is illegal in India and is not offered.
