Does THE CLINICS accept health insurance?

Yes, insurance facilities are available. You pay the hospital bill at discharge and then claim it from your insurer or TPA (third-party administrator). We prepare the documents insurers usually ask for and help you fill the hospital part of the claim form.

Insurance and TPA support where the policy covers it; WhatsApp +91 9217381353 to check your policy. Send a photo of your health card, your policy number and the doctor's advice for surgery, and we will tell you what is possible for your policy.

How insurance claims work, step by step

  1. Before admission: check your policy for the procedure, waiting periods, room-rent limits and co-payment. Inform your insurer or TPA about the planned admission within the time your policy asks (many policies ask for this before a planned admission, or within 24–48 hours of an emergency admission).

  2. During your stay: keep your health card and photo ID with you. Tell the front desk you will claim insurance so the papers are prepared in your name.

  3. At discharge: collect the documents below, then pay the final bill.

  4. After discharge: submit the claim to your insurer or TPA within the deadline in your policy (often 15–30 days after discharge). If the insurer asks for more papers, WhatsApp us and we will help.

Documents we provide for your claim

  • Discharge summary signed by the treating doctor

  • Final bill with an itemised break-up, and payment receipts

  • Investigation reports (blood tests, scans, endoscopy where done) and the histopathology report when tissue is sent for testing

  • Prescriptions, and pharmacy and consumables bills

  • Operation notes, implant or mesh stickers and invoices where used

  • The hospital part of the claim form, completed and stamped

  • Doctor's certificate or clarification letter if your insurer asks for one

THE CLINICS MISC, Hauz Khas, is licensed by DGHS Delhi under the Delhi Nursing Homes Registration Act. Insurers usually ask for this hospital registration, and we include it with the claim papers.

Check yours before you plan surgery.

  • Room-rent limits, co-payment and sub-limits: some policies cap the room rent or set limits for named procedures, such as cataract, hysterectomy or prostate surgery. These change what you finally pay.

Not covered: cosmetic procedures

Cosmetic procedures are self-pay and are not covered by health insurance. This includes cosmetic gynaecology and most cosmetic dental treatment.

How much will my surgery cost?

You get a written estimate after the doctor has examined you or reviewed your reports. The estimate depends on:

  • tests needed before surgery

  • the type of anaesthesia

  • your room type and the expected length of stay

  • implants, mesh or special consumables, if needed

  • other health conditions that need extra care

If anything changes during treatment, the doctor explains why before the extra cost is incurred, except where a decision has to be made for your safety during the operation. For an estimate, WhatsApp your reports to +91 9217381353.
